angry-ish
This poem was written as a challenge to write about a subject not often written about. Anger! The trouble is with this is that I am not so much angry as frustrated. The two emotions are worlds apart
hence the title angry - ish!
The last few weeks have been real hard
‘Cos things have not been going my way
But really when will things ever change
‘Cos it looks like they are here to stay!
Dealing with people with a different agenda
Makes life difficult on a general day
But when it comes to seeing things
Then they just don't see them my way!
They both have different ideas
Of how things should be done
Like eating sweets and chilling out
And living a life of fun
Yet she is pregnant and he don't work
And I think he is just a brainless jerk
He doesn't see the urgency to get a place to stay
He just refuses to see things MY WAY
Our house is too small for a new babe
Though I'm reluctant to throw them out
But if I have to face them each day
Then I am more than likely to shout
Keeping the house tidy can be a stress
I spend my days running in circles with work
So don't expect to come home to a mess
And have to go beserk!
Yet every day passes and nothing is done
No payment from the dole, no bank account
No house to rent,
More of my money spent
Extra meals to find and the cupboards are bare
I find myself sitting seething in a chair
For how many times does it have to be said?
Get your own place before I am dead!
