My friend talked to me today
And Oh my the things she did say
She talked of her life
Sometimes so full of strife
She sounds so happy today
Oh my what can I say?
My friend talked to me today

She told me she was in some pain
But she didn't want to complain
She wouldn't let it her faith sway
Oh what can I say?
My friend talked to me today
And Oh my the things she did say
Today someone came to visit
Seems today he finally received it
Today her baby brother got saved
Oh my what can I say?
My friend talked to me today
And Oh my the things she did say
We talked and talked for some time
And nothing bad did she say not one time
For those who hurt her she wanted to pray
Oh my what can I say?
My friend talked to me today
And Oh my the things she did say
She told how Jesus brought her out
How Jesus saved her and turned her life around
And gave her new words to say
Oh my what can I say?
My friend talked to me today
And Oh my the things she did say
She talked about her new sisters and brothers
How she loved me and all the others
How for all of us she did pray
Oh my what could I say?
My friend talked to me today
And oh the things she did say
She talked of problems with her health
But she told also of her spiritual wealth
She talked of meeting her Savior some soon day
Oh my I don't know what to say.
