Tree of Love and a Snow White Dove
Today I planted a weeping willow,
a tree of love in the front of this
old house, in memory of you,
my one and only Darling
spouse.
I watered it with a million lonely tears
for all of your love and devotions,
and those fabulous, unforgettable
years.
I promise to cherish and care for it,
as it blossoms and grows and protect
it when it storms and snows.
And each day as I look out the window,
and see this tree of memories,
I’ll think of your radiant face,
long raven hair and tender grace.
My Love, I pray that someday
I’ll see you again in a heavenly place.
And until then, from this tree of memories
I’ll send my love on the wings of a snow
white dove.
