Until you have walked a mile in my shoes02-01-08)
Think for a moment
Written by D.A.M

I guess you have heard the old saying
Until you have walked a mile in my shoes
That you really don't know me.
And it makes you think for a moment
Is it better to pass judgement upon others
who may have a little or less then we do
I know there are compassionate people out there
that really do care
And I can see that they are
trying to make a difference in the world
But I really don't think that is enough
We all need to contribute in any way we can
to change the process and elevate
this critical situation
So that we can all help each other
for growth and prosperity
I think and wonder about my own life
and I am thankful each and every day
for the blessings that have come my way.
And I must admit that I am humbled
more then words alone can say
We have to remember that we can not let
hate and ignorance be a part of our lives
I think we really need to open our eyes
and take a good look around us
and be thankful every day for our life
and for our health
But we need to remember
that there are so many
people in the world
that have little or nothing
when it comes to
material thing's
People here in our own country
are suffering each and every day
Yet we have so many
of the luxuries in our land
And we seem to have forgotten just
how fortunate we really are
so we have to remember that old saying
Until you have walked a mile in my shoes
try not to past judgement on others
Think about what we eat
and think of what we waste
each and every day
When we could be helping
others in a special way
