Waltzing
Waltzing around the bedroom,
With a chamber pot in my hand.
A passionate night of romance,
Was originally what I planned!
I'd had my bath
Two hours before.
Lots of lovely bubbles
All over the floor.
Candle wax dripping
In a hot sticky puddle,
Another glass of wine,
Now me head's in a muddle!
I drank some red wine
Nice and juicy.
But it went to me head
And now I'm lying prone on the bed.
Staggering to the bathroom
To put on some nice scent.
Tripped over the cat
That wasn't meant!
Bashed me toe on the sink,
And spilt toothpaste in me hair.
And now the blasted stuff is everywhere.
I think I need another drink!
Stumbled back to the bedroom
To get me wineglass.
Fell over the rug
The wineglass nearly smashed.
The hair lacquer fell down
Smacked me on me knee.
Just as well it didn't
Hit me on me crown!
Struggled to me feet
Wineglass in me hand,
Another mouthful.
Boy! do I feel grand.
I glanced in the mirror
And what a fright.
Toothpaste in me hair
All stuck up tight!
Staggering to the bathroom
To get meself a towel,
And kicked the blasted chamberpot
Boy! Did I howl?
So now I'm dancing round the bedroom
One foot in the air,
Sod the night of romance.
I no longer care!
