Tomorrow Belongs to No One
My yesterdays are all gone
and there’s damn few tomorrows.
I can’t go back, and the future
looks disturbingly black.
Each day is the same as the day
before, yet I hesitate to walk
through that last proverbial door.
My golden days have turned to lead,
and all my dreams are long dead.
The end is near but I have no fear,
far yesterday was mine without a
single tear.
The moral of this story is
yesterday is gone, so live
today for tomorrow is
not promised to no one.
