Why Daddy Why?
Daddy what did mommy do to make you mad?
What did she say?
Was it something I did wrong
To make you hurt her today?
She cries and cries all the time
And holds me near to her chest.
I think you already know Daddy
That she tries her very best.
She cooks and cleans for you and I.
Why did you hurt her again?
Why did you give her a black eye?
Please daddy tell me why?
Now mommy is gone away
No time to say goodbye
You killed her this time daddy,
Why daddy why?
Who will take care of me?
Who can I trust now?
Hatred for you daddy.
I have endowed.
What did she do to you that was so bad
To make you hurt her this way?
I will never forgive you daddy
For what you took from me this day.
When I grow up I will beg and plead to others
To make things right.
To keep them all safe
So they can all sleep at night.
Do NOT let a man hit you
Or tell you what to do,
Otherwise this here mommy
May very well be you.
