Time Awaits No Man
I take no issue with criticism that may
come my way, for you see…I’ve lived
an awful long time and there’s no way
my life could constantly rhyme.
I beg no pardon, for I have tried to live my life
by the golden rule… "Treat others as I would
have them treat me!"
As a young man, I did things that I would never
do again, but at the time they seemed like awful
small sins.
Now looking back, I wonder if that young man,
named "Jack" is really the old man, who now
lives back in the woods in this humble shack?
Once I was young and now I am old and the
time in between was cast of pure gold.
To the young I say, "Opinions and advice are cheap,
but life passes very quickly, so cherish each and
everyday while you can…for time awaits no man!"
