To be a mother is the best thing to be.
It changed the life of the woman in me.
Though days are always busy and nights are sometimes tough,
I would not change it for the world, although it is rough.
I committed myself from the day they were born.
To live my life for my children and to never be torn.
I will try to give my children, a lifetime of love.
To shower them with all I have and keep praying to up above.
Please God protect them when they are away.
And help them to make good choices and to never go astray.
Let me teach them the ways of a good life.
And help them to avoid all agony and strife.
To you my children, I will give what I can to you.
I will be here when you awake and try always to be true.
Watching you grow up is so very hard on me.
But I will be so proud when you become the adult I will see.
Welcoming grandchildren into my heart and home.
Watching them grow up like weeds and writing a new poem.
