Nightlightsky0626 Verses from a Poetic Heart

What you Meant to All of US.

By: Shannon Walker-Granddaughter to Kenneth Smith

As a child around you I had nothing to fear.
I remember the days that we had you here.
Your laugh was so very jolly and bright.
It echoes still in my mind day and night.

We all remember the joy you brought to us.
Without any harsh words for you hardly ever cussed.
You gave to us all without asking much back.
For your heart always showed love which you seemed to have a knack.

You thought more about others than you did yourself,
And you shared something more precious with us than your wealth.
When I remember you I see that your heart was true to all.
That is why we are all crying and not standing tall.

We will mourn our loss of a man we held dear.
We will miss not hearing your jolly laugh and very much miss not having you here.
Death may have seemed to take you away.
But I know in time we will see you again someday.

So until we are all united together again,
We are all going to miss you so dearly our dad, our grandpa, our brother
And our best friend.

We love you grandpa so very, very much.
