A simple word began a thought
A lifetime of friendship our hearts had sought.
Best friends we became throughout the years.
Even during rough times and a river of tears.
We remain loyal friends to the very end.
No one, no where could ever stop our mend.
Bad times and good times we all have seen.
On each other's shoulders we always lean.
Not a day goes by that I don't think of you.
Wondering how you are and if you are feeling blue.
You have been there for me through all of my falls.
Leaving your heart open to me without complete closing of your walls.
How am I to thank you for all the wonderful things you do?
