Dream Restlessly
this poem is written by a great mate of mine who chooses after many years to allow her work to be shown.....Took me years to get a poem out of her!
She dreamt of a man,
Who would love her deep.
Take her away,
From her restless sleep.
He haunts her mind,
His breath in her hair.
Holding her hand,
When he's not even there.
The pain of a love,
Unable to hold.
Cuts to the core,
Of a body so cold.
He passed away quietly,
His soul slipped away.
While she called out his name,
and asked him to stay.
He lived and he loved,
for all his might.
Never believing,
He could lose his fight!
