You Need Me
So close to "Happily Ever After"
yet we never made it quite that far.
Now I'm standing here,alone...
wondering who you are
you changed the way you acted.
Easily fooled by a school of lies.
We were torn apart so abruptly,
we never exchanged any proper goodbye's
And now you stand there, laughing;
inside your telltale heart.
Knowing what happened was all your fault
yet still pursuing the art.
At first when I let you go,
It seemed you didn't care
but as soon as I found another,
I saw unknown emotions that were there.
And we became good friends
still not kowing what to do
'cause you also had a girlfriend
but feeings for me, too.
And so we became a secret
until the sorrowful day
when the secret went to the public
and our "friendship" began to change.
So now when I see you walking
I'll admit, I sometimes sigh
because of everything that went wrong,
how you won't even say hi.
I won't bring it to your attention
because I realize we are the past.
Even if we did talk to eachother
our friendship still couldn't last.
So, I will leave you alone now
I will finally leave you to be free.
But one day you will realize
I need you less than you need me.
