presumptive reasoning
thoughts within the night
one way bridge
sleep, two sided
the secret one

Too soon the light
too soon the night does end
and daylight brings forth light
which shines on shadows hence
but often its source is far too bright
I like to lie in shadows
and hide myself away
to make the darkness go
and leave me another day
I keep the light within me though
I thought it best you know
for if I ever want to rise again
it will be there for me then
so until the time is right
I shall sleep on through the night
I will not waken with the dawn
nor live life so forlorn
I am happier in the shadows
hid amongst shades of grey
lost amidst purple haze
living in a bemused daze
It's best to leave me there
for unless you are prepared
to rescue me,
then leave me be!
