When you're here with me, you make me forget;
Everything, I'm left with no regrets.
In your eyes, feelings show right through;
You know, I just can't get enough of you.
The flame is burning deep within my heart;
I'd be lost to death if we had to part.
I've never though of you as "just a friend";
I pray this time I have with you will never end.
When you're with me, I'm all that's on your mind;
Hopefully your confusion will go away all in due time.
Although you're taken, you must remember;
I'm the one who can make your heart surrender.
This inexcusable act is more than just a risk;
We're falling deeper with every forbidden kiss.
You already know that we're playing with fire;
As we keep this up, I feel the flames getting higher.
Our hearts are caught in quite a bind;
I'm drawn to yours, and you're drawn to mine.
In the end, either way you choose to go;
I'll be on your mind, this we both know.
If this entanglement, you decide to end;
You and I will remain best of friends.
When others are around we act as if they don't know;
Sorry, I hate to tell you, but I think it shows.
I'm willing to wait for you as long as it takes;
I pray my heart will refuse to break.
You need time to end what's already broken;
Until then, let's make sure we've only spoken.
I'm glad you feel it is wrong to creep;
that's exactly what I'm feeling, underneath.
You wont make me promises you know you can't keep;
That alone, gives me such a huge relief.
I know that you really care for me;
I would hope that's the way it's meant to be.
When I think about us, being together after so many years;
My destination, beside you, begins to become more clear.
My heart is full, my soul is wide open;
I've been longing, yet left unspoken.
As I sleep throughout the night, I dream of only you;
I find it amazing what our hearts like to put us through.
Stopping to think, I know my fantasies may not be realistic;
But that's my chance, I'm more than willing to risk it.
After all my heart has put me through in the past;
Complications may also take this away very fast.
When we speak, my mind enters an uttermost calm;
We connect, with a touch of fingertips to the palm.
Expressing my feelings, mostly in only dreams;
Funny, so incredibly real, or at least it seems.
What ever you decide will be ok with me;
You choosing me is just what I have faith in and believe.
I really do care for you more than you'll ever be able to comprehend;
Not only are you my friend, but you're also the only one I confide in.
Hopefully you'll see my feelings before long;
Than one day soon, you and I wont seem so wrong.
