I Beleive You....12345When my soul was searching and weeping were you hearing my thoughts some where? Did you know before we met that I needed some one to just be there? With you I feel such strong, startling connection And I forget all the bitterness I had built up because I need no protection You comforted me, you came to me and I could see my thoughts in your eyes And I felt that maybe this was perfection, perhaps you were an angel in disguise And I ponder upon our meeting and how fortunate we are To find such love and understanding and guidance from the stars It seems that every thing in our life had pointed us in this direction Away from all mistakes and pains, did we ever feel rejection It all seems so long past now like maybe it just a dream Or a character imbedded in my mind that's how things seem I saw you, long before I ever knew you, when I was just a child In a day dream one day I looked into your soul and smiled I knew that some day I would find you and make you mine Even if it took forever, I had the time I looked into so many eyes, glanced into so many hearts Wondering why fate was taking so long and why we were apart And then one day it came to me and my searching was through When you stop looking for love it's bound to find you It's not something that should be sought unless you plan on settling for less I wasn't about to settle for anything less than incredible and honey I got the best So I just stopped looking, decided not to cry It was time for me to let go and stop wondering why And the way we met it was strange, such a sweet destiny The thoughts and words that formed in our minds became a reality We have been blessed and I thank you for being in my life I'm just waiting for the day when I can bear your children and be your wife I know that this was planned long before our birth We weren't doomed forever to be lonely and search the earth So now we embrace each other, sharing a part of our souls that no one else has ever seen I'm glad I held on to that memory, that dream Lubaina Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem
