A tale of adoption

~BUCKS SIGS~

I look back on my life
and I  reflect on all the blessings
that came to me

And it all started
when I was a young baby

My natural mother
couldn't keep me
for reasons unknown

And yet she loved me enough
to let me be born

And then one day  I was put up for adoption

It wasn't easy
when I found out

But through time it had a way
of making me realize

Just how lucky I was
to be wanted and to be loved

Many many years
have gone by since then

And the one thing
that is still missing
in my life time

Is being able to hold my birth mother
in my arms
And to kiss her gently on the face

To tell her that I love her
and to let her know that I am ok

At this point in my life

I don't know if she is alive
or if she is dead

But no matter what
even though I wasn't brought up
with her

And even though I don't even know her name

If I were to see her tomorrow

I would love her unconditionally

And I would let her know

That we need to leave the past in the past

So that we can focus on today and tomorrow and the future

Where ever she may be

I hope the good Lord will send
a message to her

To free her from her sorrows
for letting me go.
