Poetic-Verses-Awakening Spirits and Memories

SUNNY AFTERNOON

Sitting in mum's garden,
Myriad flowers abound,
Bird song fluting overhead,
A beautiful sound!
Hyacinth- blue pergola...
In the corner standing proud.

Four seats, two tables both round:
Pots of flowers all colourful to the eye!
Herbs growing for her to eat:
Snails galore crawl up the wall.
A cat sits mewling with a piteous call!

Two statues of black dogs
And a tortoise sit and stare,
Watching the house,
Whilst the gnomes just stand and glare!

Out from amongst the leaves...
And the different type of trees.
Baskets of flowers hang of chains.
A lamp lights up the garden,
Run of power of the mains bees...
Buzzing all around!

Swifts overhead dart and dash about,
Aerial acrobats, a wondrous sight!
Stone coloured flags...
Nice and cold to touch,
Especially on sunny days,
When the heat is just too much!

Fir trees and a sweetheart bush.
Hebe, hydrangea and a plant with long red bells!
All compete with each other...
To give off heady smells.

The only thing to mar this peace…
Is the constant buzzing of the mowers!
As every garden grower…Cuts the long grass down!
But meanwhile lady bugs crawl up the tree,
I hope she'll eat those aphids for her tea!

But the ants are there to protect their aphid-farm,
We could just get them with chemical spray,
But that is hardly the environmental friendly way!
