Established thoughts of men
Come and go as time moves
Our ways were changed then
We wondered which were the real truths
Over time our minds were clasped within
Mortal dread of serious sin
We lived in fear on a daily basis
Wondering whether to get out of the stasis
Comfortable most people were to be there
Not having to bother or care
Our lives ruled by a handful of men
Who were no more capable than a broken pen
They are now leading the way
Teaching us what to think today
Different ideas are not encouraged
Because otherwise They would not flourish
Filling peoples heads with knowledge of a kind
The end result to quieten their minds,
Never are we to question their deeds
All we have is our day to day needs
They keep us ignorant of higher things
Keep us down so we cannot bring
Anything new to the fore
But our mind instinctively knows there is more
The human brain was created for learning
It was in-built with a deeper yearning
To come to know the why and the what's
To seek out more than what we have already got
But to do this is to rock the boat
Causes the establishment to show
A different coloured coat
We are not their true colours to know
For power and greed are what drives these men
So what happens to us when
We stand up as something different
Are we are treated with indifference?
Behind the scenes they make their plans
They sow the beginnings of seeds of hate
They when we come along they put up their bans
And we cannot get inside the gate!
They stir up hatred and animosity
Showing us faces of duplicity
So they always appear not to be seen
As causing problems or being over keen
Not a good thing to let people know
Just exactly what there is on show
Keep everything well hidden out of sight
So people are willing to fight their fight
Ignorance is a state of bliss
Because we don't know what there is to miss
We stroll along ruled by these ones in power
Give them the control, as we just cower
We are ignorant of the ways of the world
Because that is the way they wish us to be
We close our eyes to others in torment
Because we just don't want to see
To observe others in torture and pain
Means then that we have to act
It is only a decency of humanity
To help others that we pity
But once again we are so conditioned
Insidiousness is their way
We tend to choose the easy path
And claim it is not our tradition
We shun anything that is different
Because that is not our way
Conditioned and programmed is what we are
So we will never get very far
Meanwhile the powers that be
Are totally and utterly free
To do absolutely anything at all
And we can never stop them or we will fall
To challenge the ways of establishment
Is not the wisest thing to do
Because you could find yourself banished
Condemned as a traitor and vanished
Completely removed from the face of the earth
Because you had the temerity and nerve
To stand up for what is right
You stood up and refused to fight their fight
You stood up as different, not one of their men
And so they condemned you there and then
Setting out ways to get rid of your face
Not letting you get any foothold or space
But still you continue with your challenge
And daily fight the good fight
But never let down your guard
Because they will hit you very hard
They will ban everything that you wish to do
Not let you buy, sell or choose
You will be hounded out from city to city
Because these ones have no pity
You have stood up against their ways
And they will set out to destroy you today
Though behind the scenes they will work
Until they have got everyone beserk
So watch your back
Never let complacency in
Don't let them ever win
And you will never lack
The angels are with you along the way
Guiding your work every day
They know the big picture
And where it is you feature
So trust in your God and do as he says
Because he will help you in all your ways
As long as you continue to do his deeds
Then you will have all you ever need
The establishments are soon to fall
Are we ready for it when it happens?
Where will you be when God sends out the call?
Will you be caught a napping?
That is something you will have to watch for
Keep your light shining bright until then
And the day will come when
You will be ready to go through that door
Good strength to all of you
Who choose God's work to do
It is not an easy task to take
And something not everyone can make
I hope these words of mine will strengthen you today
Because I wrote them for that reason
To make you understand that I have never gone away
Or spoken any treason
I still watch this earthly scene
And listen as though in a dream
I found it too hard to stay on the path
But willingly give you my strength and a map
Keep on with your good works and let me know
Keep me informed give me chance to show
That I would help you on your way
I try not to let you down this day
