I visited a friend yesterday...
She was in a bit of a state!
She'd just come out of hospital...
After being in a very bad way.
She can't get her head round the fact…
That near to death she came,
So quickly did it happen!
Were it not for the arrival...
A day early of her boyfriend...
She would now be dead!
And would be sat and those pearly gates!
He must have been sent,
Because it's obvious...
She was not meant…To leave us!
At this time!
She's got so much to do in her life!
And happiness she's only just found!
For her to have gone at this time...
As obviously not meant to be!
Yet scared she is of it happening again...
She can't keep the tears at bay
And now she has more tablets to take!
That's what the doctor's say!
But what a dilemma she faces,
Because without she'll surely die!
But if she takes them cancer is a risk!
Which could try to invade her life!
As the last time she took these pills...
She had lumps which made her very ill.
So now what is she to do?
There is no choice!
The pills she has to take!
Because ill is preferable to death!
But as she is already so bad in her health!
What, and how much more can she take?
But strong in spirit she is!
And she won't let it get her down!
The decision is made...
The pills she'll take and continue…
Her life's work again!
