Lonely Girl
Lonely Girl
Tired and hungry with no shoes on her feet
She lives each day with nothing to eat
Her parents died when she was young
This little girl she has no one
She wanders up and down the street
Searching for someone to meet
Her clothes are warn and dirty too
You'd feel her pain if you just knew
You walk on by without a glance
This little girl she stands no chance
To ever reach her tenth birthday
Why do we all just look away?
Are we afraid to take the chance?
To lend our hands and make a stance
We cannot rely on someone else
It's up to us to provide the help
Take off the dirt you'd see the face
Of someone born with beauty and grace
Her beauty lies from deep within
It doesn't matter where she has been
So take those blinders off your eyes
When you do you'd realize
That deep behind those eyes of tears
Is a child with many fears
She just needs someone to care
So many things she needs to share
She needs someone to show her love
It's you and me that she just wants
