The view was unrestricted
To that house across the street
A quickly checked watch
Very nearly half past nine
A picked up phone
Just to check the line
Racing quickening pulses
As curtains opened wide
To show the view across
And fully deep inside
Picked up at first ring
Heard the whispered hello
And eagerly but precisely
Began directing the show
