For the Rest of My Time

I’ve tried to live today like yesterday, but life has away
about changing yesterday into tomorrow, you see.

If, I could do it all over again…I would try to be more
like you than me.

You were delightfully  free… free as a summer rain
falling on the River Seine, colorful as Autumn leaves
tumbling from the great oak trees.

But, I can’t do it over…for yesterday is today and my
tomorrows are few. So I’ll just have to live with my
memory of yesterdays with you.

Dancing in the moonlight, stars in your eyes,
sparking red wine, and heart to heart as in a musical rhyme.
My Darling …that’s how I shall remember you for the
rest of my time.
