The Simple Things in Life
A great day to lift up your voice,
Such a day to be glad and rejoice;
A sun beam that shines so bright,
Through the window with its light.
It is so clear not a cloud in the sky,
Such an awesome sight as I sigh;
Birds chirping flying in the air,
As a slight breeze blows in my hair.
I feel like putting the world on hold,
And just watch God's plan unfold;
Giving thanks for what He has done,
Especially with giving us His Son.
The natural beauty is astounding,
While feeling my heart pounding;
As I spot little seedlings have grown,
Just a few weeks ago that I had sown.
We overlook the simple things in life,
Then get all wound up in our strife;
Without taking the time just to see,
What God created for you and me.
