I Know
I Know
I know the pain this day can bring,
happiness, sadness....all the same,
I know the songs we wanted to sing,
the laughter and joy...but it was tears that came.
I know the happiness of a baby held tight,
I've experienced the cries in the middle of the night.
The joy that comes, the tears that sometimes fall,
the pitter patter of little feet, the sticky fingers on the wall,
all this taken and never to see, all this taken never to be.
But when I think of the joy that is not here,
I grab for my loved ones and hold them so near.
God has my babies and he loves them so,
they are there with Jesus ... why?
Only God does know.
My prayer to you .... whether yours are big or small,
whether you get to hold them now or not at all,
Is that you realize no matter what,
God made you a mother...and for that you are loved!
