In Remembrance
We remember the good and bad,
As well as when happy and sad;
Times of trials and tribulations,
Or in times of joyous jubilations.
It is hard to forget times of sorrow,
Be reminded of a better tomorrow;
Since our tough times never last,
But they never seem to go by fast.
Often times while we have grief,
We need be reminded of our belief;
Especially during times of war,
They shut a buddy's coffin door.
In remembrance as time goes by,
We often ask and wonder why;
A life of a good man has to end,
So abruptly for a dear old friend.
But it is not the end rather the start,
As his spirit leaves an earthly heart;
And Christ returns for it to take,
Because God will never forsake.
