Only in my dreams
I can escape reality
and feel the warmth
of your heart beat
as we embrace each other
with so much warmth and love
And as I sleep
and my dreams
begin to unfold
I am comforted
with you by my side
because only in my dreams
can we share laughter together
and kiss each other with passion
Everything around us
is overflowing
with waterfalls
lacing the forest
with tranquility
And as we look around
above us in the trees
and all around us
there is every kind
of tropical bird
that you can imagine
an there presence enlightens us
with magnificent colors
There is an ocean right beyond the forest
and we can smell the salt in the air
and we can hear the waves
as they splash against the sand
So we both decide
to walk from the forest
to the sandy shore
hand in hand
But do you understand
Only in my dreams
can this be possible
Because when I am awake
you are to far away
So I look forward
to every dream
I can have of you
Because
Only in my dreams
can we share an eternal bond
embraced by heaven
filled with love
in all of its miraculous ways
And every night
when it is time
for me to go to sleep
I am free to join you
only in my dreams
to share every thought
and every moment with you
by the ocean and the waterfalls
and the forests in paradise
In a place that
we call
our own
little sanctuary
That is overflowing
with botanical fragrances
where peace
can embrace us completely
But sadly
my dream begins
to slip away
and the night
begins to fade away
And all that I can feel right now
is misty water splashing on my face
as my dreams begin to disappear
And tears
begin to fall
from my eyes
because you aren't
here beside me.
to erase
the emptiness
that I feel.
