My Valentine

All I ever wanted was my Valentine
But I've yet to receive him still.
I guess he just isn't meant to be mine.
But it's hard to disguise how I feel.
I wanted my Valentine to love me
And handle me with tender loving care.
I thought he'd be here to hug me.
So this outcome left me unprepared.
My Valentine has ironically broken my heart.
The love I have is taken as a joke.
He uses me, then leaves me in the dark
And I'm left to somehow cope.
My Valentine is so special to me.
My childhood fondness grew into something deep.
But it is something that he refuses to see.
Therefore I excessively weep…
I wonder why my Valentine does me bad
Because I only want to give him my soul.
I keep thinking about things that I've never had.
 He keeps taking full control.
My dear Valentine, do you not see
The pain that I am going through?
Sweet Valentine, since we're not meant to be
Please let me get over you.
