Some days are up
and some days are down
like a carousel of memories and laughter
that fill the spaces within my mind
of peaceful moments
that I can still remember
from a long time ago
in a secret place
that I will always cherish
On occasion
faded memories
of bliss and joy
return to me
in bits and pieces
of a different place in time
from my long lost memories
that I thought had faded away
And yet the past
still returns to me
of more peaceful times
when happiness embraced me completely
through my recollection of memories
from a long time ago
So at times
I find myself
day dreaming of
of the beautiful memories
in my secret place deep within my mind
that are in bits and pieces
of yesterdays past
My mind keeps spinning
round and round
Maybe some day
happiness will return
to me and I will be able to
have new moments to experience
that will be filled
with laughter and joy
Until that day
comes around again
I will just have to try to remain
positive and focused
in any way that I can.
