When was the last time
that you can
remember being all alone
and you were
really feeling empty
and lonely inside
Because you were
all by yourself
so you would
turn the tv on
for some kind
of comfort
and a sad
movie would be on
and that's when your tears
would start rolling down your face
Because you didn't have some one to
hold you and to comfort you
when you needed it most
So you picked up the phone
to talk to someone that you know
to take away the emptiness
so that you wouldn't feel so alone
But there was no one out there
that you could talk to
and no one was picking up there phone
And your only friends at the time
were your four legged companions
that reminded you that you were loved
by them
and you think that
nobody else seems to care
because if they did
you would think that they would
show some consideration and stop by
to see how you are
There are times like this
that you really do wish
that someone would stop by
So that you would
have someone to talk to
and to help you take away
the emptiness that
you feel inside
It's day like this
when you find
yourself daydreaming
of much better times
when you felt you were loved
because you were hugged
and reminded every day
how important you are
There will be days like today
when you wish someone
would hold you
and comfort you
so that the emptiness
and the pain
that's eating you up
inside would just go away
Some times it's not that easy
But we can continue to have hope
And we can continue to pray
That tomorrow
will some how
be more rewarding than today
Remember we are never completely alone
because angels really are by our side
all through the days of our lives
