you are all grown up
but you are not even close
Every day there
are new lessons
to learn in real life
some of them
you will learn
the hard way
the first time
And then you will
learn them the right way
And only in time
will you understand
exactly what I am
trying to tell you)
I wish you would stay
by your moms side
But your going away
And when you do
it's going to
be a sad day
in many ways
Because you have decided
to do things your own way
And you want to be free
All I can say
is being free
isnt what it
is cut out to be
Please never be
in a hurry
to grow up
because growing up
will come
sooner then you think
Don't rush into
things blindly
always think things out
before you do anything
that you may regret
it's the right way
to do things
Also remember
if you have a bad
feeling about something
That your intuition
is a wonderful gift
and a safety net
Always rely on it.
Don't blow it
because you
are only young
one time around
and that's it
Make sure that you
think things out
no matter what
they may be
before you make a
any decisions
And I know
right now
you may think
that you are free
to do what
you want
when you want to
and you may be right
But in many ways
you will be all alone
and bored out of your mind
and no one will be around
And that's when
you will find
out in your own time
when you get bored
that this is when
things
can take a turn
for the worst
and then you will see
what I mean
You may not know it yet
but your friends will try
to pressure you
into doing things
that you aren't
supposed to be doing
and that's when you will realize
that you need to always think
with a level head
And always remember
that being young
and being free
isn't what it is
all cut out to be
