Broken Promises....
You promised that you would take care of me.
You promised that I would be worthy
Broken promises are all I see,
Breaking my soul and then you flee
Polluting my breath beyond my vision,
Choking me with your indecision's
Taking what isn't yours for your own greed,
Taking a part of me indeed.
One more day we are almost there,
One more night we are aware,
As tears fall down my face you can see the insanity in this world,
There isn't anyone who has the right kind of words.
It seems as though Death is on our minds,
Every single day, I guess it goes with the times.
We keep tearing our Earth apart bit by bit
Watching her die, Will we ever commit
We descend into evil ripping her apart,
I wonder what will happen within our hearts
We fight on her soil and draw blood from each other,
We give fear to our hearts, Only to feel the anger.
The lonely sound of silence has gone
The loud noise is all we hear in the early predawn
Drilling into her soul for oil
Reaching deep inside of her causing turmoil
Destroying her beauty within these lands
Our wildlife running only finding wastelands
Keeping the land we love so dear
Safe and protected I pray with each tear.
One day as we wake, We will see nothing in this land
Is this what humans had planned...
The butterflies won't gently land on a rose,
where have they gone...Does anyone know...
The birds won't be singing as they once took flight
The trees will be empty with no sound only quite
What has happened to the rabbits that once played and ran through the grass,
Only to see empty fields of our past
Where have they gone...Does anyone know...
The wolves won't howl in the bright moonlit sky,
They have vanished into the night...Why
The bears won't be growling only to hear their cries
The beauty of them only a dream that has gone by.
The Eagles won't soar through the mountains above,
They won't exist, they will no longer be a part of...
There will be no more beauty left in this great place
It will be taken by those who will wear the badge of disgrace
Humans will be fighting among each other for greed,
Destroying and mutilating the very thing that helped them to succeed.
Broken Promises....
