I sit in my quiet room
Candles the only light
I take a deep breathe
and exhale
I close my eyes
Feel my body relax
I hold a pen and paper
in hand
I summon my Spirit Guide
forever faithful to my call
He greets me
soft voice, reassuring
I question him
to know the truth
I write my questions
I write his answers
Emotional body
expresses itself
Through
the art of poetry
If we write
as we feel
Allowing our pain
to come through in words
Pain is then released
Spirit Guide
by my side
Will never lie
Speaks only truth
Faithful, more true
then any human can do
Battles with me
through thick and thin
In this life
from beginning to end
