I met a complete stranger yesterday(This is a true story)

I met a complete stranger yesterday

(This is a true story that in many ways will lift your spirit))

" FancyLadyRider Sig's "

I met an extra ordinary woman yesterday
who I had never met before in my life time
she was a complete stranger to me
and I decided to pass some time
and  start a conversation with her
I could tell she enjoyed talking to me
as well as I did with her
while we were at the grocery store

And what was really amazing
as we started talking
was that it was as if we had
known each other all our lives

This doesn't happen very often
but it did yesterday

And while we were waiting in line
I was astonished at her appearance
because she just glowed like you wouldn't believe

And she appeared to be very happy and healthy
and that's when she let me know
that she had type one diabetes

And I was surprised
because she looked
so full of energy and life
and that's when I became curious
and I asked her how old she was
and then she told me
and to my surprise
she was seventy one

And that's when I was more then surprised
because she didn't look a day over fifty
and then she preceded to tell me
That the key to staying young
was by being around others
that are younger then yourself
and are excited about there lives
and aren't a stick in the mud

I found it really amazing
from her appearance and her youth

And as we continued to wait in line
we both talked for awhile longer
and that's when she told me

God must have
wanted me to stay around
because she wasn't through here yet
even though her husband was gone
and she had also lost two daughters to diabetes
she was more then thankful that her
oldest daughter is still alive

And yet through everything she had been through
she still had the determination
to move forward with her life

Even though she had dealt with so much loss
she wasn't willing to give up without a fight
and she wasn't ready to just lay down and die

It's hard to imagine anyone wanting to live
after losing so much
but she wasn't ready to go
any time soon
even though she had
already lost three of
her own loved ones
she wasn't willing to give up

She was a complete stranger to me
and as long as I live
I will never forget her face
more or less
the conversation that we shared
at the grocery store

She set an example
for all of us to follow
and that is no matter
what we face in life
we must continue to live
as if tomorrow will never come

I learned an important
lesson from all of this

And I found it really amazing
that when we take time out
to talk to a complete stranger
that in so many ways
they can show us a difference
in such a positive way
at how important living is
and not dying.

( I just wonder if she was an earth angel )
