A Question?

Between the sun and moon lies
the anomaly called time.
Leaving us with the unanswerable question.
When did it start and when will it end?

From the beginning of time until the end…
doesn’t that sentence make the hair stand
up on the back of your neck?

What’s at the end of the universe and  beyond?
How many stars shine before the break of dawn?

A thousand eons have come and gone.
How many more will pass beyond?

In this realm of vastness how do we measure
time?
No one knows.

For sure…
not on our fingers and toes.
