Think before you say these words, don't turn them into a lie.
I, take you (Groom/Bride), to be my (wife/husband), to have and to hold from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish; from this day forward until death do us part.
What ever happened to these words promised, in front of God, family, friends and to each other? Did they mean nothing? Just something you have to say to complete the union of marriage, something taken for granted when someone asks another to marry them?
To Have and to Hold from this day forward
Lovingly hold your partner close to your heart
Treat with loving respect, always..
Not to put your hands on in anger
Not to scream at and push around
Not to disrespect...Ever
For Better or Worse
Better is always good, happy
Get along fine time
But
Life always has bad times
Things happen to ruin the fairy tale
Doesn't mean when things get rough
You bail
Leave the other to deal with the Worse
Alone
For Richer or Poorer
Richer makes it easier
to pay the bills, not worry
if you can pay the rent
If your car will be repo-ed
Poorer is one of those Worse times too
Stress, worry, enough to feed the kids?
Some of the happiest people are poor
No money, No love?
Thats not how its supposed to go
In Sickness and in Health
In Sickness, One can't deal with the other
getting sick? So, they call off the wedding, leave?
Married, don't want to deal with sickness?
It's too much trouble?
Too much stress, too much money?
How bout if you got sick, wouldn't you
expect the other to stay, Cherish you
comfort you, love you?
In Health, thats fine
Nothing to deal with
No one to support
No one to stand by
No one to console
To Love and to Cherish
To Love
Means you love your partner
Not anyone else who comes along
During a "Worse" time
Faithful, true Always to One
To Cherish
To respect, listen, communicate
Love and appreciate
Every single day
Don't treat the other like
you don't want to be treated
Respect as you want to be respected
From this day forward, until Death do us part
If you aren't a big enough person to
believe in this line..
Walk away
Don't say it
It's Wrong to promise words you can't keep
Easier to walk before you say them
Weakness is not a virtue
Strong will mean every word they say
Broken hearts don't mend
they are a lesson learned...
They make you stronger
Believe and Respect the words you say
If you can't, just walk away.
