Canaan Land
Canaan land was fair, encased in celestial light.
Canaan land was fair, vision in the night,
encased in golden celestial light.
It hurt inside when I had to go,
and leave the land I love so.
A voice it beckoned you must leave,
though I know you will grieve,
the loss of family and friend,
but all good things someday must end.
I follow now, I know not to where,
and dream of Canaan land so fair.
He leads me now ever onward,
and says, I should not look backward.
My chore it lies some other way,
perhaps I might see one day,
the place that dwells beside silever streams,
Canaan land my home of dreams.
