"Master, the people have listened all day,
They've heard the word, they've knelt to pray;
They have followed, you have led
But still have needs and must be fed".
"So, give them food and let them eat,
Let them sit and rest their feet.
Man is made of skin and bone
And cannot live on faith alone."
"But, master, here we have a snag,
For just one person has a bag.
There's just five loaves and just two fish.
We cannot feed them though we wish".
"Bring me that bag, then, straight away.
A miracle they'll see this day.
I have the power, you'll recall
And with God's help I'll feed them all."
He held the bag up to the skies,
He knelt him down and closed his eyes
And prayed. No sooner said than done!
There was enough for everyone.
Loaves and fishes by the score,
Enough to feed this crowd - and more.
His eyes he opened, look around
And all he saw was sandy ground.
