I awaited his arrival
anticipating what
he would be like
Curly black hair
big brown eyes
I examined him
Beauty and Perfection
As I held him first
I watched him grow
Such a happy little boy
Laughing in delight
As I always smiled first
He grew into such
A tall handsome young man
So loved by all
But I loved him first
The day came too soon
His life had been taken
Sunshine faded to darkness
My heart shattered first
Nothing will ever happen first
With him again
But I will always hold it my heart
I held you first
I smiled for you first
I loved you first
I cried for you first
I am so proud
I am your Mother
First
Last
