WHy can't I be In LOVE?Why Can't I Be In LOVE? Your eyes have disapproved of my choices, Under the scrutiny from your jealous voices. The guards stand patiently and paused at the gate, Ready to ponder on my prejudged fate. If I am being a fool, just let me be, I understand more than what you believe. Why can't I be in LOVE? Patiently waiting for our failure, our demise, Pretending to be happy for me, envy in disguise. Allow me to enjoy this feeling, whether it's real or make-believe, I can only give back, what I have received. I love the way my heart flutter whenever I pick up the phone, The laughter, the joy, the romance is not accomplished by one. Even if its only for a little while, please leave me alone. WHy can't I be in Love? The glow on my face is not for a public show, The girlish smile, my jiggle across the floor. My expectations are sufficient, but he gives me more. The wanting to hex me, your need to state your case, Stop for second and read the expression on my face. It will tell you more than anything else, That this moment in time, I don't just want to be myself. I just want to be in LOVE. Is there anything wrong with that? The outcome of this wonderful interlude is a mysterious fact. Why can't I be in LOVE? by Ursula Susette Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem
