One more day (Enjoy Kenny G in this poem)(Spiritual)
(What if tomorrow doesnt come
what would you do differently today)
My thoughts wandered
while I began thinking
as I was sitting
on my swing feeling
the wind blowing
right before the rain
The tree's were swaying
and the leaves were dancing
and the clouds were changing
while the birds were singing
and I found myself thinking
about my life here on earth
And I asked myself
what if tomorrow never came
what could I leave behind
And it came to mind
That I will face a day
when my time will come
where I will rise
above my body
as I am looking down
And I will soar with the eagles
and fly with the angels
and all my burdens
and all my sorrows will be gone
I would be able
to sit on the clouds
and watch the rain fall down
and I could touch the rainbows
as there painted colors embraced the skies
My human form
would no longer exist
and I wouldn't have to
worry about this
Except for my loved ones
that I would truly miss
And thats when
I really began
thinking about this
and how I could
really make a difference
with one more day
I would hope
that the good Lord
would bless me
in a special way
so that I could say
my final goodbye
I asked myself
what could I
do differently today
if all I had was
just one more day
I thought about it
and I would want
to embrace
all my loved ones
one more time
And I would
want them to know
that I love
each and every
one of them
unconditionally
without even having to
say another word
Then I would
feel at peace
and then I would
be ready to go
Because I would know
that I was embraced
by there love
and in return
they would get
a genuine smile
from me before I go
The rain is falling
in the grass
and the tree's are
swaying back and forth
as they dance with
the clouds in the wind
And to my amazement
as I look up to the skies
I begin to see
a rainbow appear
through Gods light
And this is when
I begin to see
a beautiful reflection
in the sky
of God looking down
on me with a smile
Please remember
if all you had
was just one more day
To try and love others
unconditionally
in every way
Because we dont know
what tomorrow will bring
so we have to focus on today
