The new year ahead

Old chapters
within our lives
do come to an end.
And a new year
will begin
within the
inner spaces
of our minds
And we will
continue to grow
each and every day
And we will
move on
and burn down
the old bridges
that are behind us
so that new ones
can be built today
We can all walk
down a new path
in our lives
if we are willing
Then we can find
a new journey
leaving our past
mistakes behind
We can start
the new year
with a new life
and a new beginning
The past is gone
and it is behind us now
and it will never return
and it is time
for all of us
to start living again
Each and everyone of us
has grown from all
of the hidden lessons
that have been taught to us
throughout our lifetime
And the future
can enlighten us
with a promise
of a new beginning
If you are ready
to open your heart
with an open mind
then new things
will surface
When our lives
are transformed
we are just like flowers
that are ready to blossom
waiting for daylight
as we sleep throughout the night
Because we too
are like the soft petals
of flowers
that gradually
begin to blossom
as they become stronger
and they climb higher
This is the time of year
to create many new
experiences
to explore
what is ahead of us
just like new flowers
that are ready to blossom
in the months ahead
Look to the skies
with open eyes
and be thankful
for all the blessings
and then you
will realize
that as long
as you are willing
to reach higher
then you can climb
into the new year
in all the right ways
Because this is the time
of year
when we can all
enjoy the new seasons
that are ahead of us
so that we can
grow from within
and we to can continue to climb
We are all ready
to be embraced
with warmth
and more then
anything else
we are all ready
to start the new year
with a strong desire
to appreciate life more
then we did the year before
in a unique and loving way
Never dare to reach higher
and never dare to dream
Because dreams really
do come true
as long as you can
nurture your dreams daily
with the right attitude
this will be the time
when you can
finally do that
and everything else
will change
If you can do that
then the new year
ahead of you
can be a blessing
in so many ways
for each and every one of us.
