The Gift of Grace
In the past you were dead,
Of the Spirit not been fed;
Rather you were full of sin,
Fighting against God within.
You followed a worldly way,
And Satan set rules to obey;
For temptation easily lured,
Of the lusts that you adored.
Ruling you with selfish desire,
With the greed for to acquire;
Satisfying your heart and mind,
To others as rude and unkind.
But God merciful with love,
Showered His grace thereof;
And raise us from the grave,
With the salvation for to save.
Since Jesus suffered and bled,
In the Spirit you have been fed;
His grace saves you from death,
A new life after your last breath.
