Our Last Journey ©
Our journey to the unknown has just begun
Our destination depends on the full moon above
Our spirits are on the run in this bewildering wilderness,
A land that once showed promise with being adventurous
We have mourned so many lives
So many have suffered, Yet we still survive
Our journey into this wilderness has once begun
As we quietly walk these paths alone
This is our journey of yesterday, today and tomorrow
As we wonder this land of such sorrow
One by one we disappear
One by one we are no longer needed here
The dreadful sound of Silence ... no howl to be heard
Just another chapter word for word
No-one hears the pleas we howl into the night
Only to be ignored, chased through the moonlight
Surrounded by fear as we lay low,
Hoping they don't see us through these dark shadows
We still have our dignity to keep moving on,
Not by choice or agreed upon
Our ancestors are our protectors
The stars are our creator
The silent whimpers that can be heard
Are our whispers of pain of those who have suffered
Our Journey is about to end
As we follow this ancient legend.
It has been a journey one to remember
Will this be our last winter?
