I found out who you are
after all these years
And it seems like
you do not care
And it is a shame
You say
that you care
about me
But it does not show
Do you think this is fair
To many years have gone by
and I think I understand why
things have turned out this way
At least I know
where I came from
and where I have been
For better or worse
I was prepared
either way
with the outcome
You have your life
and I have mine
It's ok I will be fine
with the way things are
In your eyes
I may feel like
a stranger to you
But in my eyes
I never will be
Maybe you
should have tried
a little harder
Things could have
turned out better
But it's ok
I will live my life
the way I have all these years
And you can live your's
I will always keep you
in my prayers
And we can leave things
just the way they are
Maybe it's better this way
