Why do things have to be this way

It's another one of those days
where I keep asking myself
Why do things have to be this way
Every day keeps passing me by
ever so quickly
Lately all these feelings
that I have for you
are becoming much
harder to hide
Normally I wouldn't
say these things to you
But I will this time
The loneliness is
starting to get to me
I need to be held
and I need to be loved
And I need to feel wanted
instead of feeling neglected
I keep asking myself
on days like today
Why do things
have to be this way
Honestly
what I would like to do
is to be able to share
all my feelings with you
But your not here
to share them with you
Time continues to pass me by
and It's honestly tearing
me up inside
Lately my emotions
have gotten the best of me
But some how I have kept
all of my feelings hidden inside
But there are days like today
when I can no longer hide them anymore
All I can do right now
is to continue
to remain optimistic
And to continue
to remain hopeful
Because I know
that it wont
always be this way
So for the time being
I will rely
on my inner instincts
and hopefully everything
will get better some day
I am sure you have had days
just like I have today
Because I know
how lonely you
must feel
But there are days
like today
that I ask myself
And I am sure you do to
