(This poem is dedicated to my Mom
who passed away nine years ago this month)
I found myself thinking about you today
And I cant believe
that almost nine years have gone by
since the day that you passed away
And as long as I am alive
I will never forget
all the years that we
were able to share together
I have to admit today has been
a really hard day for me
just as it has been
through all the years that
have already gone by
Because I miss you
It's been almost nine years ago
since I had a chance
to look into your eyes
for the very last time
And it was also the last time that
I would ever
hear your voice again in person
At least I have a tape recording of you
that I can listen to
when I am missing you badly
of you telling me that you loved me
In difficult times
I find myself playing
the tape of your voice
over and over again
But its just not the
same
without you here
But at least I can honestly say
that they were the last words
that you ever shared with me
the day before you died.
(God Bless you Mom I miss you).
