I really have missed you Mom

It has been revised and updated.
I don't know how I have survived
and lived through all these years
without you being here
Because I sure have missed you
since that day
when the Lord
decided to take
you away from me
Because on that day
when you passed away
A part of my heart
went with you
never to return
I do hope and pray
that the good Lord
will let you know
how special you
were to me
and how thankful I was
for him sending
you to me
Because you were a
special earth angel
that could love a child
that wasn't even your own
And yet you still
called me your son
I thank God every day
that you could love me
the way that you did
Because you sure were
a very special Mom
You were truly
an honest to God
blessing in my life
And I honestly know
that I was one of the lucky ones
I will always remember
your words of inspiration
and your guiding direction
And I will always be thankful
for your dedication
that you gave to me
when you were here
I really have missed you Mom
