My memories through the gift of adoption

There are several memories in my life time
that I will profoundly remember as long as I live
Through out the many stages in my life
there were special moments
Sad times and difficult times
And then there were the good times
Sharing a picnic at the park
with all my family members
Or just swimming in a pool with the family
In my life time growing up
I walked through many lands
that were foreign to most people
I traveled across the Pacific and the Atlantic
and I lived in four different countries
in a seventeen year span
But from those experiences
and the cherished memories
I will always continue to look back
on all the memories that I experienced
To be able to see all that I had seen
because through it all I was able to discover
through God's blessings
and through the wonderful gift of adoption
that I was actually able to live the life that I did
But without adoption
nothing like this
would have ever happened
I had wonderful parents
and they were like earth angels to me
And I am thankful
and I am humbled for all the days
that they were in my life
Because they guided me
and they directed me
in a positive way
The love that they shared with me
was the unconditional kind
In this day and age
that may be difficult to imagine
Because I have heard
horror stories all the time
But in my case
I am just thankful
that my story
is a different tale to share with everyone
All I can say now
to anyone who is willing to listen
try to live your life to the fullest
and try to love others
every chance you get
And be helpful in any way you can
because it shows compassion
When it is all said and done
in the end you can look back on it all
and as you silently fall to sleep
you will find yourself waking up in Heaven
for all your good deeds
that you shared while you were still here on earth
