Are you really thirty-nine
Tell me it isn`t so
My boy will soon be forty
Where did the years all go
I blinked and you were five years old
And starting baby school
I turned around and you had grown
Teenage years and cool
Then suddenly you were a dad
Who had a lovely son
The years are flying fast now
I`m proud of all you`ve done
Someday I know you`ll find the one
Who`ll stay close by your side
Loving you with all her heart
Your perfect lovely bride.
Do not let age deter you
Or make you feel afraid
Just make sure you use time well
As you turn this page
Store up all your memories
Translations out of time
Keep them safe within your heart
As safe as I`ve kept mine.
Always be my baby
My big strong loving son
And have a happy day today
